Altadena has always been home. My grandparents immigrated here in the 1960s, laying down roots in a community full of promise. My father grew up here, and so did I—surrounded by cherished schools, historic businesses, beautiful parks, scenic trails, and the warmth of lifelong friendships and family connections.

In just a matter of days, so much of what made Altadena special has been profoundly changed. The loss feels personal, like a part of our collective story has been erased.
